Older Youth

The Field Center believes, as many child development experts believe, that the presence of at least one caring, committed adult can make all the difference in the lives of youth who age out of foster care. Recognizing the unique needs of adolescents and young adults in foster care, and aspiring to support the well-being of the thousands of youth who age out of foster care every year with no legal connection to family, many of our initiatives target policy and practice reform for this group of young people.
