Fostering Your Success

The mission of Fostering Your Success (FYS) is to provide a welcoming, supportive environment for students with experiences in foster care settings, group home settings, kinship care and emancipation. For FYS Scholars, we provide the following:

  • A caring mentor for one-on-one support
  • Financial Aid Information
  • Guidance when building your class schedule
  • Leadership opportunities
  • Extracurricular activities
  • Career exploration
  • Help setting and achieving academic and life goals

When FYS scholars are ready to graduate, their cap and gown will be paid for by FYS, and their mentor will write a letter of recommendation for scholarships, for transferring institutions and/or future employers.

Supplemental Information

  • CCAC operates four campuses, three centers and one administration building throughout Allegheny County. Each CCAC location is designed to serve and support students with their academic needs and goals. CCAC also offers a virtual campus. Learn more here.
